Formatting that you previously applied to text is removed when you apply a Quick Style in Excel 2007, in PowerPoint 2007, and in Word 2007

SYMPTOMS

When you apply a Quick Style to text in a document in one of the programs that are listed in the "Applies to" section, formatting that you previously applied to the text is removed.

CAUSE

This behavior is the intended behavior. The Quick Styles are designed to resemble the thumbnail image that appears in the Quick Style gallery. Therefore, when you apply a Quick Style to text, all previous formatting is removed.

WORKAROUND

To work around this behavior, reapply the formatting after you apply the Quick Style.
