Additionally, when you view the slide show on another computer that does not contain all the linked files, you may receive an error message that resembles the following: Cannot find the specified file. Make sure the path and filename are correct. CAUSEThis issue occurs because only .wav files can be embedded in PowerPoint 2007 presentations. All other types of sound files are linked to the presentation. If .wav files exceed the file-size limit, the .wav files are also linked. They are not embedded. WORKAROUNDTo work around this issue, use one or more of the following methods. Method 1: Convert sound files to .wav filesUse a sound program to convert the sound files into .wav files.Method 2: Embed sound files in the presentationEmbed the larger .wav files into your presentation, and then play them back on a different computer.
