When you copy a URL from a page in OneNote 2007 and then paste this URL into a non-Microsoft Office 2007 document, you cannot click the URL

SYMPTOMS

Consider the following scenario. You copy a URL from a page in Microsoft Office OneNote 2007. Then, you paste this URL into a non-Microsoft Office 2007 document, such as a Microsoft Office 2003 document. In this scenario, you cannot click the URL in the non-Microsoft Office 2007 document.

CAUSE

This behavior occurs if you pasted the URL as text.

RESOLUTION

To resolve this behavior, keep the source formatting when you paste the URL. To do this, click Paste on the Edit menu, click Paste Options, and then click Keep Source Formatting.
