When you install Microsoft
Zoo Tycoon 2 or Microsoft
Age of Empires III, you may receive the following error message immediately after the installation is complete:
You must accept the EULA in order to play Zoo Tycoon.
This issue may occur in either of the following scenarios:
- You have Microsoft Zoo Tycoon 2 installed, and then you install Zoo Tycoon 2: Endangered Species in a language that differs from your original Zoo Tycoon 2 installation. For example, you install the English version of Zoo Tycoon 2, and then you try to install the German version of Zoo Tycoon 2: Endangered Species.
- The Zoo Tycoon 2 or Age of Empires III End User License Agreement (EULA) is not located in the appropriate folder for the game.
To resolve this issue, follow steps for your product.
Zoo Tycoon 2: Endangered Species
To resolve this issue, purchase and install the same language version of
Zoo Tycoon 2: Endangered Species as your original
Zoo Tycoon 2 installation. To purchase the English version of
Zoo Tycoon 2: Endangered Species, visit the following Microsoft Web site:
Zoo Tycoon 2: Ultimate Collection
- Hold down the SHIFT key while you insert disk 1.
- If you are using a Windows Vista-based computer, click Start

, and then click Computer.
If you are using a Windows XP-based computer, click Start, and then right-click My Computer. -
Right-click the CD or DVD icon for the Zoo Tycoon 2 disc, and then click Open.
- Double-click the Files folder.

Right-click the Eula.rtf file, and then click Copy.
- Locate the Zoo Tycoon 2 folder. This default location for this folder is the following:
<your hard disk drive>:\Program Files\Microsoft Games\Zoo Tycoon 2
- Right-click an empty area in the folder, and then click Paste.
- Start Zoo Tycoon 2.
Age of Empires III
- Hold down the SHIFT key while you insert disk 1.
- If you are using a Windows Vista-based computer, click Start
