SYMPTOMS

In Microsoft Visual Studio 2005, when you build a Web application project that is checked out of Microsoft Visual SourceSafe, the .dll file and the .pdb file are checked in to the source control. Visual Studio 2005 may stop responding for up 10 minutes. This time delay may continue to increase every time that you build the Web application project. When you build the Web application project, you receive a message that is similar to the following for each .dll file and for each .pdb file in the Web application project:
Adding file c:\path-to-file\filename.dll to web
