FIX: You may receive an incorrect error message when you open a Visual Studio 2005 Tools for Office document

When you open a Microsoft Visual Studio 2005 Tools for the Microsoft Office System document on a client computer, you may receive the following incorrect error message: This error message does not correctly reflect the problem that occurs.

This problem occurs when the following conditions are true:

• The document connects to an assembly.
• The assembly is located on a server that is running Microsoft Internet Information Services (IIS).

This problem occurs when the client computer cannot connect to the server that is running IIS.

A supported hotfix is now available from Microsoft, but it is only intended to correct the problem that is described in this article. Only apply it to systems that are experiencing this specific problem. This hotfix may receive additional testing.
