A hotfix is available for the following Windows Desktop Search document IFilters:
| • | Offfilt.dll (Office IFilter for pre-Office 2007 formats) |
| • | Mimefilt.dll (MIME HTML IFilter) |
| • | Nlhtml.dll (HTML IFilter) |
These IFilters are used by Windows Desktop Search, Indexing Service and other search applications that rely on the IFilter interface. This hotfix fixes arithmetic errors and buffer errors.
This hotfix also fixes the following issue:
After you apply Windows Server 2003 SP2, search results of the .xls file are incorrect. If you try to search numbers in Excel 97-2003 files by using the
Start Search dialog box, the search fails. Additionally, you cannot search by using the Indexing Service, IFilter dll.
