SYMPTOMS

Consider the following scenario:

You install Microsoft Windows CE 5.0 Platform Builder.
You install a third-party network adapter board support package (BSP) for the x86 microprocessor.
You install the Microsoft Windows CE 5.0 Networked Media Device Feature Pack.

In this scenario, you receive the following error message when you try to build a Windows CE 5.0 image:

Prerequisites

This update is supported only if all previous updates for this product are also installed.

Restart requirement

After you install this update, you must perform a clean build of the whole platform. To clean the platform, click Clean on the Build menu. To build the platform, click Build Platform on the Build menu. You must restart the computer after you install this update.
