SYMPTOMSConsider the following scenario. You start to install Microsoft Windows XP on a computer to which a universal serial bus (USB) floppy disk drive is connected. Then, you press F6 to install mass storage drivers during the Windows XP installation process. Note These mass storage drivers reside on a floppy disk that is inserted in the USB floppy disk drive. In this scenario, the USB floppy disk drive does not work. Therefore, you cannot load the mass storage drivers. CAUSE
This issue occurs if the USB floppy disk drive is not supported for use during Windows XP installation. To be supported in this situation, the drive must be listed in the Txtsetup.sif file.
