Article ID: 916461 - Last Review: July 24, 2007 - Revision: 1.4 Collection members may randomly drop out of a collection on a Systems Management Server 2003 site
On This PageSYMPTOMSOn a Microsoft Systems Management Server (SMS) 2003 site, collection members may randomly drop out of a collection. This problem occurs during a collection update operation. If you manually update the collection, the missing collection members again appear in the collection. CAUSEThis problem may occur when a new child site is installed. When a new child site is installed, collections are replicated throughout the site hierarchy. However, SMS 2003 may use outdated cached collection information during this replication operation. Instead, SMS 2003 should obtain collection information from the SMS database. RESOLUTIONHotfix informationA supported hotfix is available from Microsoft.
