When 16 concurrent connections have been made from a single IP address to a Microsoft Windows Storage Server 2003 R2-based computer that is running Server for Network File System (NFS), no additional connections can be made from that IP address.
WORKAROUNDWarning Serious problems might occur if you modify the registry incorrectly by using Registry Editor or by using another method. These problems might require that you reinstall your operating system. Microsoft cannot guarantee that these problems can be solved. Modify the registry at your own risk. To work around this problem, use one of the following methods:
After you apply hotfix 958272 to Windows Server 2003 or Windows Server 2008, the maximum value of the MaxConcurrentConnectionsPerIP registry entry will be 8192. Additionally, the maximum value for DefaultConcurrentConnections has been raised to 8192.
