SYMPTOMS

In one of the programs that are mentioned in the "Applies to" section, when you click a shape in the Shapes group on the Insert tab, the shape is automatically added to the Recently Used Shapes list. This behavior occurs even when you do not actually draw the shape in the document.

This behavior occurs during one session in the program.

WORKAROUND

To work around this behavior, exit the program, and then restart the program. When you restart the program, the Recently Used Shapes list is reset to the default list.

MORE INFORMATION

To select a shape, click the shape in the Shapes group on the Insert tab. The shape now appears as the first shape in the first row of shapes in the Shapes group.

Additionally, if you click the More button for the list of shapes in the Shapes group, you notice that the shape has also been added to the Recently Used Shapes list.
