The versions of Messenger and Communicator that are compatible with Groove depend on the version of Groove that you are using. Actions that are initiated by Microsoft Office Groove 2007Groove 2007 can import contacts from Windows Messenger 5.1 or a later version of Messenger or from Communicator 1.0 or a later version of Communicator. Groove 2007 can also initiate other activities such as sending messages and invitations by using Windows Messenger 5.1 or a later version of Messenger or by using Communicator 1.0 or a later version of Communicator.Actions that are initiated by Groove Virtual Office 3.xGroove Virtual Office 3.x can import contacts from both Windows Messenger and MSN Messenger. However, Groove Virtual Office can initiate other activities, such as sending messages and invitations, only through Windows Messenger.Actions that are initiated by Groove Workspace 2.5Groove Workspace 2.5 can send invitations through MSN Messenger 4.6 and earlier versions of MSN Messenger, but not through MSN Messenger 5.0. Also, MSN Messenger 5.0 does not start Groove Workspace 2.5 when you use MSN Messenger 5.0 to accept a Groove invitation.Actions that are initiated by MSN Messenger and Windows MessengerWindows Messenger versions 4.7 and 5.0, and MSN Messenger versions 4.6 and 5.0, can send Groove invitations.
