SYMPTOMS

When you use the Distribute Software Update Wizard in Microsoft Systems Management Server (SMS) 2003 to change some properties of a previously authorized software update package, the previously authorized software update package properties are not automatically updated. Additionally, you receive an error message that resembles the following:
The file FileName failed a security check. The file hash doesn't match the information in the database.
For example, if you try to update a previously authorized software update package with a new name and with a new download location, the Distribute Software Update Wizard tries to use the previous name and the previous download location. However, if you create a new package, the wizard uses the correct name and the correct download location.
