Xbox 360: One red light flashes on the Ring of Light, and you receive error E67, E68, or E69

SYMPTOMS

The lower-right quadrant of the Ring of Light flashes red on the front of the Xbox 360 console. You receive one of the following error codes:
E67
E68
E69
Note This error code appears in the center of a black screen on the television or on the monitor. If you receive a different error message, you are experiencing a different issue. CAUSE

This behavior occurs when an Xbox 360 Hard Drive hardware failure occurs.

THINGS TO TRY

1. Turn off the console.
2. Remove the hard drive. For more information about how to attach or remove the Xbox 360 Hard Drive, click the following article number to view the article in the Microsoft Knowledge Base:

3.Reattach the hard drive, and then turn on the console. If the problem persists, discuss replacement options with the agent.
4.Obtain the latest automatic update for the Xbox 360. To do this, connect to Xbox Live.
5.If you continue to experience this behavior, contact Xbox Customer Service.
Note If the agent cannot help you resolve this issue, you must replace the hard drive. Discuss your replacement options with the agent.
