In an application that is built by using the 64-bit version of the Microsoft .NET Framework 2.0, a synchronized method that has security callouts may not save a return value after control returns to the calling function.

Note You do not experience this problem in applications that are built by using the 32-bit version of the .NET Framework 2.0.
