SYMPTOMSWhen you start a computer, the Microsoft USB keyboard is not detected in BIOS. However, you can use the PS/2 keyboard without experiencing problems. Note This articles applies to any Microsoft keyboard that is connected to a USB port (Bluetooth, wireless, wired, and so on). CAUSEThis issue occurs when the BIOS of the computer does not enable the USB emulator feature. RESOLUTIONTo resolve this issue, you can enable or disable the USB emulator feature in the BIOS settings of the computer. To do this, make sure that the computer BIOS supports the USB emulator feature. For more information about whether the computer supports USB emulation, see the documentation that is included with the computer. Or, contact the hardware manufacturer.
