Outlook 2003 may stop responding when you right-click a mailbox folder

When you right-click a mailbox folder when the folder's home page is displayed, Microsoft Office Outlook 2003 may stop responding.

This problem occurs when the Show default home page by default for this folder check box is selected for the mailbox folder, and the home page is already displayed.

Note The Show default home page by default for this folder check box is located on the Home Page tab of the folder's Properties dialog box.

How to obtain the hotfix

This issue is fixed in the Microsoft Office Outlook 2003 Hotfix Package that is dated June 6, 2006. For more information, click the following article number to view the article in the Microsoft Knowledge Base: Note You will see a blank shortcut menu if you right-click the mailbox folder a second time after you apply this hotfix.
