You cannot print when you use Terminal Server after you apply Update Rollup 1 for Microsoft Windows 2000 Service Pack 4
On This PageSYMPTOMSAfter you apply Update Rollup 1 for Microsoft Windows 2000 Service Pack 4 (SP4) to any computer on a network, Terminal Server users may no longer be able print to a printer that is attached to the LPT1 port.
If you try to print from a Terminal Server session, you receive the following error message:

There was an error found when printing the document 'No Document Name' to LPT1:.
Do you want to retry or cancel the job?
This error message occurs whether you print from an application or try to print a test page. Additionally, if you uninstall the printer and reinstall a different brand or model of printer from the Terminal Server session, you still encounter this problem. Also, this problem occurs for all users. This includes members of the Administrators group.However, you do not experience this problem when you try to print from a local computer or from a network computer. RESOLUTIONHotfix informationA supported hotfix is available from Microsoft. However, this hotfix is intended to correct only the problem that is described in this article. Apply this hotfix only to systems that are experiencing this specific problem.If the hotfix is available for download, there is a "Hotfix download available" section at the top of this Knowledge Base article. Microsoft has confirmed that this is a bug in Update Rollup 1 for Windows 2000 SP4.
