SUMMARY

Consider the following scenario. You have multiple Microsoft Windows Server 2003 Terminal Services license servers in your enterprise environment. You use a License Server Security Group Policy setting to control license allocation. Additionally, you have more than one License Server security group in your enterprise environment. In this scenario, some terminal servers cannot acquire a license from the license server.

CAUSE

The Terminal Services License Server discovery process first enumerates all available license servers. Then, the discovery process selects a license server that is identified as a working license server. The request fails if it does not come from a server that is a member of the License Server security group.
