You cannot use the World Save option in Fable: The Lost Chapters

SYMPTOMS

When you try to save a game of Microsoft Fable: The Lost Chapters PC, you do not see the World Save option. The only save option is the Hero Save option.

CAUSE

This issue occurs because the World Save option is only available after complete a quest and before you make any other progress.

WORKAROUND

To work around this issue, use the Hero Save option. To do this, follow these steps:
  1. Press ESC, click Options, and then click Hero Save.
  2. Select an empty save slot, and then click Accept.
  3. Click OK.
Note The Hero Save option saves your accumulated Experience, Renown, Items, and Statistics up to this point in the game. Your quest progress is not saved.
