Error message when you run a query in Access 2007: "System Resource Exceeded" or "Query is too complex"
SYMPTOMSIn Microsoft Office Access 2007, you may receive the following error message when you run a query with a join to a subquery and a long WHERE clause: System Resource Exceeded You may also receive the following error message when you run the query:Query is too complex CAUSEThis problem occurs because Access 2007 has a 16-join limit. Additionally, large and complex query criteria in the WHERE clause can cause the "System Resource Exceeded" error message. WORKAROUNDTo work around this problem, change your query so that there are no more than 16 joins. STATUSMicrosoft has confirmed that this is a problem in the Microsoft products that are listed in the "Applies to" section.
