On This PageSYMPTOMSConsider the following scenario. On a client computer that is running Microsoft Windows Server 2003, you use a Microsoft Visual C# program to connect to the Windows Management Instrumentation (WMI) provider for a remote server that is running Microsoft BizTalk Server 2004. You use the Visual C# program to try to change the ADO.NET connection string of an SQL send port on the server that is running BizTalk Server 2004. The Microsoft SQL Server database that is referenced in the connection string is located on a different server than the server that is running BizTalk Server 2004. In this scenario, you may receive an error message that resembles the following: Could not validate TransportTypeData or Address properties for Primary Transport of Send Port 'SP_IN_120_AccountExtract'. Exception from HRESULT: 0x80131500 RESOLUTIONHotfix informationA supported hotfix is available from Microsoft. However, this hotfix is intended to correct only the problem that is described in this article. Apply this hotfix only to systems that are experiencing this specific problem. This hotfix might receive additional testing.
