To choose what happens when you turn on your Xbox 360 console, follow these steps:
  1. Go to the Settings hub, and then select System.

  3. Select Startup and Shutdown.

  5. Select from the following startup options:
    • Disc
      Select Disc if you want the disc in your console to play automatically when you turn on the console. If the console doesn't have a disc in it, the console will display the Xbox Dashboard.
    • Xbox Dashboard
      Select Xbox Dashboard if you want the Dashboard to display when you turn on the console.
    • Windows Media Center
      Select Windows Media Center if you want Windows Media Center to start when you turn on your console.
