Consider the following scenario. In Microsoft Exchange Server 2003, you deploy Microsoft Exchange Server Auto Accept Agent
on a resource mailbox. Then, you submit a request to delete one instance of a recurring meeting. In this scenario, you notice that the response status for this recurring meeting is cleared after Auto Accept Agent accepts this request. Therefore, the status of the recurring meeting appears as "Unaccepted." And, the time of the recurring meeting may be available on the resource calendar.
When you log on to the resource mailbox, you may be prompted to accept a request for the recurring meeting for which the response status has been cleared.
This problem occurs because Auto Accept Agent uses Collaboration Data Objects for
Exchange (CDOEX) to process
a request to delete an instance of a recurring meeting. When
CDOEX modifies the Exceptions
collection, CDOEX always clears the response status for this collection. Auto Accept Agent does
not accept the recurring meeting again
after CDOEX
modifies
the Exceptions
collection.
