When you export tasks from Microsoft Office Outlook 2003, the
Notes field for some of the exported tasks is empty.
This issue occurs when the
Notes field for a task has too many characters. The maximum number of characters depends on the font type that was used in the
Notes field. The following is a list of the maximum number of characters that you can use for a particular font in the
Notes field:
- For Unicode fonts, the maximum number of characters is 4,086 characters.
- For ANSI fonts, the maximum number of characters is 8,180 characters.
How to obtain the hotfix

Note: After you install the hotfix, you can use the following maximum numbers of characters in the
Notes field:
- For Unicode fonts, the maximum number of characters is 131,072 characters.
- For ANSI fonts, the maximum number of characters is 262,144 characters.
