A hotfix is available to change the daylight saving time for the (GMT+02:00) Cairo time zone in 2006 for Windows XP and for Windows Server 2003Article ID: 921028 - View products that this article applies to. On This PageSYMPTOMSThe government of Egypt announced that the winter will start one week earlier for the year 2006. This is a special change only for the year 2006. The change handles the start of the holy month of Ramadan on September 22, 2006. Accordingly, this hotfix changes the start dates and the end dates for daylight saving time (DST) for the (GMT+02:00) Cairo time zone to the following values:
