SYMPTOMS

In Microsoft Visual Studio 2005 Team Foundation Server, a misleading error message occurs instead of an error message that states that the string that is being used is invalid. This problem can occur when you use a string that contains special characters, such as ã, «, ä, ½, ¿, ç, ”, ¨, í, ¦, ¢, and ‹, in various locations.

WORKAROUND
