This hotfix package fixes the following issue that was not previously documented in a Microsoft Knowledge Base article:
  • When you try to recover deleted items in Outlook 2003 and the computer is disconnected from the network, Outlook may stop unexpectedly (crash). Additionally, you receive the following error message:
    Microsoft Office Outlook has encountered a problem and needs to close. We are sorry for the inconvenience.
    When you view the data in the error report, the report contains an error signature that resembles the following error signature:

    Note To recover deleted items in Outlook 2003, follow these steps:
    1. Click the Deleted Items folder.
    2. On the Tools menu, click Recover Deleted Items.
