SYMPTOMS

After you upgrade Microsoft Office 2003 to Microsoft Office 2007, the Learning Essentials for Microsoft Office tools add-in program may be unavailable. Alternatively, the add-in does not function as expected.

Additionally, when you try to install the Learning Essentials add-in program on a computer that has Office 2007 installed, you receive the following error message:
"Learning Essentials can be installed only on computers with Office XP or Office 2003. To install Learning Essentials, you must have at least one of the following Office products installed; Word, Excel, or PowerPoint."
Finally, when you install Microsoft Student 2006 on a computer that has Office 2007 installed, the program installs without error. However, the Learning Essentials tools are unavailable in the following programs:
Microsoft Office Word 2007
Microsoft Office Excel 2007
Microsoft Office PowerPoint 2007
The other components of Microsoft Student 2006 are present and functional.
