Some form controls cannot be added to shortcut menus in Word 2007

INTRODUCTION

In Microsoft Office Word 2007, you can customize shortcut menus by adding different form controls to the menus. Form controls include controls such as the list box control and the text box control. However, some form controls cannot be added to shortcut menus in Word 2007.

MORE INFORMATION

In Word 2007, you can no longer add the following form controls to shortcut menus:
  • Edit controls
  • Drop-down controls
  • Combo box controls
Note Macro code and add-ins may use these form controls to customize shortcut menus. A document that contains such macros or add-ins does not function as expected when you open the document in Word 2007.
