After you upgrade to Microsoft Office Groove 2007, you cannot add certain tools to older Groove workspaces.
CAUSEThis issue occurs because of changes in Office Groove 2007. You cannot add tools that went through a major revision in the Office Groove upgrade to a workspace that you created by using an earlier version of Groove Virtual Office or of Groove Workspace. Additionally, Groove 2007 no longer supports tools that were created by using the Groove Development Kit 3.1 and that were added to Groove by using component injection. Therefore, older third-party tools will not work in Groove 2007. WORKAROUNDFor Groove toolsTo resolve this issue with a Groove tool, use one of the following workarounds.Add the Office Groove 2007 version of the toolHave all members of the workspace upgrade to Office Groove 2007. Then, increase the tool version requirement for the workspace to 4.0. To do this, follow these steps:
Add an earlier version of the toolAsk a member who is using an earlier version of Groove to add the tool.For custom toolsTo resolve an issue with a custom tool, use one of the following methods.Use the Forms tool or the InfoPath Forms toolUse the Forms tool or the InfoPath Forms tool to create customized applications in a Groove tool.Contact the tool vendorIf you used a third-party product that worked in Groove as a tool, contact the tool vendor. The vendor may have a replacement Forms solution or InfoPath Forms solution that works with Groove 2007.
