Start Component Services. To do this, click Start, click Run, type dcomcnfg in the Open box, and then click OK.
In Component Services, double-click Component Services, double-click Computers, double-click My Computer, and then double-click COM+ Applications.
Right-click Microsoft Operations Manager Data Access Server, and then click Properties.
Click the Identity tab.
Type the correct password for the DAS account in the Password box and in the Confirm password box, and then click OK.
Exit Component Services.
Stop the MOM Data Access Server COM+ application, and then restart it.
Note If you are changing the Management Server Action account and the DAS account at the same time, you must first change the Action Account, and then change the DAS account. Then, stop the MOM service before you stop the COM+ application. Starting the MOM service will also start the COM+ application. If the MOM service will not start, the DAS account may not have been changed correctly, or the password may have expired.
For more information about how to change the passwords for MOM accounts, see the "Changing Passwords and Accounts in MOM" article in the "Security Best Practices" section of the Microsoft Operations Manager 2005 Security Guide. To view this guide, visit the following Microsoft Web site:
