SYMPTOMS

The display resolution of a Virtual PC guest computer is reduced to about 640 × 400 pixels when the Command Prompt window runs in full-screen mode. Therefore, you cannot use some programs on a guest computer.

CAUSE

This problem occurs because Virtual PC does not correctly manage the display resolution of a guest computer.

RESOLUTION

To resolve this problem, apply the following hotfix. After you apply the hotfix, the display resolution of a guest computer is not reduced. A larger display resolution is used when the Command Prompt window runs in full-screen mode.
