SYMPTOMS

You insert a DVD movie disc into your DVD drive, and then you select the option to play the DVD movie in Microsoft Windows Media Player 11. When you do this, a blank screen appears instead of the video. The audio plays. But the video does not play.

WORKAROUND

To work around this problem, press ESC to exit the full-screen view. Close and then restart Windows Media Player 11 to play the DVD movie.
