You connect a USB peripheral device to a Microsoft Windows CE 5.0-based device. On the USB peripheral device, you cycle the power. In this scenario, the USB peripheral device may not work correctly when it turns on. Note This problem is more likely to occur under stress conditions. For example, this problem is more likely to occur when you turn multiple USB peripheral devices on and off repeatedly. CAUSEThis problem occurs because an access violation is not handled correctly by the Device Manager. RESOLUTIONSoftware update informationA supported software update is now available from Microsoft as Windows CE 5.0 Platform Builder Monthly Update (August 2006). You can confirm this by scrolling to the "File information" section of this article. The package file name contains the product version, date, Knowledge Base article number, and processor type.
