FIX: 100 percent of CPU resources are used and SUA stops responding on Windows Server 2003 R2

SYMPTOMS

When you run Subsystem for UNIX-based Applications (SUA) cron jobs on a Microsoft Windows Server 2003 R2-based computer, 100 percent of the CPU resources are used. Additionally, SUA stops responding (hangs).

CAUSE

This problem may occur when you run SUA cron jobs because a handles leak may occur.

RESOLUTION

STATUS

Microsoft has confirmed that this is a problem in the Microsoft products that are listed in the "Applies to" section. This problem was first corrected in Windows Server 2003 Service Pack 2.
