December 2008 cumulative time zone update for Microsoft Windows operating systems You do not have to remove any previously installed DST update to apply this cumulative update. This article describes a test version of an update. This test version is provided for testing only. Do not install this update on computers in a production environment. Instead, the clock will automatically adjust to show the time as one hour earlier on November 5, 2006. This behavior occurs because the update applies the daylight saving time (DST) settings that occur in 2007 to the time settings in 2006. If this update is not removed from computers in your test environment by October 27, 2006, the clock will not be adjusted correctly.
