FIX: Error message when you create a new subscription to a report in SQL Server 2005 Reporting Services: "Error: Object expected"

In Windows Internet Explorer, you open a report in Microsoft SQL Server 2005 Reporting Services. When you create a new subscription to the report, a warning icon appears in the Windows Internet Explorer status bar. If you double-click the warning icon, you receive the following error message:In another scenario, you open a report in the Report Explorer Web Part or in Microsoft Internet Information Services (IIS). Then, you create a new subscription to the report. In this scenario, you receive the error message.

This problem occurs if the following conditions are true:

• The report contains at least two report parameters.
• The first report parameter does not have a default value.
• The second report parameter has a default value.

This problem occurs because the SubscriptionProperties.aspx page looks for the ControlConditionalEnableNumber function. However, this function does not exist.

Note Number represents a number that varies for different SubscriptionProperties.aspx pages. Number is the number of control dependencies on the page. For example, a text box control is enabled when you click to select a check box control. And the text box is disabled when you click to clear the check box control. In this example, one dependency exists between the text box control and the check box control.

You must restart the SQL Server service after you apply this hotfix.

You do not have to change the registry.

Hotfix file information

This hotfix contains only those files that are required to correct the issues that this article lists. This hotfix may not contain of all the files that you must have to fully update a product to the latest build.

The English version of this hotfix has the file attributes (or later file attributes) that are listed in the following table. The dates and times for these files are listed in Coordinated Universal Time (UTC). When you view the file information, it is converted to local time. To find the difference between UTC and local time, use the Time Zone tab in the Date and Time item in Control Panel.
