You still can modify custom values after you use conditions to disable a multiple-selection list box that contains the custom values in InfoPath 2007

Steps to reproduce the problem

1. Start InfoPath 2007.
2. Click Design a Form Template, select Blank, make sure that the Enable browser-compatible feature only check box is not selected, and then click OK.
3. Add a text box and a multiple-selection list box control to the form.
4. Double-click the multiple-selection list box, click to select the Allow users to enter custom values check box, click Add, and then type a value.
5. Click the Display tab, click Conditional Formatting, click Add, and then follow these steps to add a condition to disable the control:
   1. In the first drop-down box, click Select a field or group.
   2. In the Select a Field or Group dialog box, click to select field1, and then click OK.
   3. In the second drop-down box, click is equal to.
   4. In the third drop-down box, click Type text, and then type test.
   5. Click to select the Disable this control check box.
6. Click OK three times.
7. Click Preview, and then type some text in the multiple-selection list box.
8. In the text box, type test. This action makes the condition true.
9. Double-click the text that you typed in the list box, right-click the selected text, and then click Cut.
   
   You can enter a new value in the multiple-selection list box.
