You cannot hear or tune the radio when you have your Zune device connected to the Zune Dock.

CAUSE

You will experience this behavior if you have not connected the earphones to the headphone jack.
Note The earphones also function as the antenna for the FM radio.

THINGS TO TRY

  1. Connect your earphones to the headphone jack on your Zune device if you can. Because of the placement of the headphone jack on the Zune 4GB, Zune 8GB, and Zune 16GB device, you cannot connect earphones while the unit is in the dock.
  2. If you are using a Zune HD player, be aware that the new Zune dock has a built-in antenna that is compatible with HD players.
