When this issue occurs, the following conditions are true:
CAUSEThis issue occurs when the DNS Windows Internet Name Service (WINS) record retains the computer's NetBIOS name. If the network adapter is bound to NetBIOS, the computer's NetBIOS name is retained for a short time based on the Windows Data Access Component (Windows DAC) address of the computer. Note Windows DAC technology was formerly known as Microsoft Data Access Components (MDAC). RESOLUTIONThis issue is resolved after a short time when the old name is marked as a tombstone object.
