Issue that the hotfix package fixes

This hotfix package fixes the following issue that was not previously documented in a Microsoft Knowledge Base article:

The Edit Page link uses an absolute URL instead of a relative URL

The Edit Page link that appears under Actions in the left area of Web pages on the portal site uses an absolute URL. For example, when you click Source on the View menu to view the HTML code for the Web page, the HTML code for the Edit Page link resembles the following: All other links that appear under Actions use a relative URL. You expect the Edit Page link to also use a relative URL.

Hotfix information

A supported hotfix is available from Microsoft. However, this hotfix is intended to correct only the problem that is described in this article. Apply this hotfix only to systems that are experiencing this specific problem. This hotfix might receive additional testing. Therefore, if you are not severely affected by this problem, we recommend that you wait for the next software update that contains this hotfix.
