SharePoint Server 2007 article page content is added in the Pages library and not in the document library in which the article page was created

Consider the following scenario. You create a new document library on a computer that is running Microsoft Office SharePoint Server 2007. You add the Article Page content type on the document library Settings page. Then, you create a new article page in the new document library.

In this scenario, the new article page is created in the Pages library and not in the new document library.

When you create a new article page in SharePoint Server 2007, the page content is stored as a separate item in the Pages library.

This behavior is by design.
