KeyTips do not appear when you press the ALT key in a 2007 Office program

SYMPTOMS

When you press one of the ALT keys in a 2007 Microsoft Office program, the KeyTips do not appear on the Ribbon.

CAUSE

This issue may occur if another program, such as a screen reader, is installed that intercepts keystrokes and assigns new functionality to the ALT keys. This issue may be a compatibility issue with the installed program and the 2007 Office programs.

RESOLUTION

To resolve this issue, contact the vendor of the installed program.
