  • If you use the Encrypting File System (EFS) to format the temporary file folder in the %profile% folder, you will be unable to save e-mail attachments to a network share or to an external memory device.

After you install the hotfix package, follow these steps to enable the hotfix:
  1. Click Start, click Run, type regedit in the Open box, and then click OK.
  2. Locate and then click the following registry subkey:
    HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Office\11.0\Outlook\Options\Attachments
  3. On the Edit menu, point to New, and then click DWORD (32-bit) Value.
  4. Type EnableCopyFromEFS, and then press Enter.
  5. In the Details pane, right-click EnableCopyFromEFS, and then click Modify.
  6. In the Value data box, type 1, and then click OK.
  7. Exit Registry Editor.
