Error message when you try to install the original release version of a 2007 Office suite or program: "Setup is unable to proceed"

SYMPTOMS

You remove the beta release version of a 2007 Microsoft Office suite or program from the computer. When you try to install the original release version of the 2007 Office suite or program, you receive the following error message:
Setup is unable to proceed due to the following error(s):
The 2007 Microsoft Office system does not support upgrading from a prerelease version of the 2007 Microsoft Office system. You must first uninstall any prerelease versions of the 2007 Microsoft Office system products and associated technologies.
Correct the issue(s) listed above and re-run setup.

CAUSE

This issue occurs if either of the following conditions is true:
A beta release version of a 2007 Office program is still installed on the computer.
A component from the beta release version of the 2007 Office suite or program is still installed on the computer.
An add-in for a beta release version of a 2007 Office program is still installed on the computer.
You must remove all beta release versions of the 2007 Office suite or program from the computer before you install the original release version of a 2007 Office suite or program.

Additionally, this issue occurs if any of the following items are installed on the computer.

Note Because of the way that the products are sorted in the list, these products may not be grouped together in the list.
2007 Microsoft Office Add-in: Microsoft Save as PDF or XPS (Beta)
2007 Microsoft Office Add-in: Microsoft Save as PDF (Beta)
2007 Microsoft Office Add-in: Microsoft Save as XPS (Beta)
Microsoft Expression Web Designer Beta 1
Microsoft Expression Web Designer CTP1
Microsoft Office Compatibility Pack for Word, Excel, and PowerPoint 2007 File Formats (Beta 2 Technical Refresh)

RESOLUTION

To resolve this issue, follow theses steps:
1.Click Start, click Run, type appwiz.cpl, and then click OK.
2.In the Currently installed programs list, click any beta release version of a 2007 Office program or component, and then click Remove.
3.Click Yes when you are prompted to confirm that you want to remove the program or the component.
4.Click Close when the Setup program finishes.
5.Repeat steps 2 to 4 for each beta release version of a 2007 Office program or component.
