The Windows Explorer menu bar is not displayed in Windows Vista

SYMPTOMS

When you view files and folders by using Windows Explorer, the Windows Explorer menu bar is not displayed.

Note The Windows Explorer menu bar includes the File menu, the Edit menu, the View menu, the Tools menu, and the Help menu.

CAUSE

By default, the menu bar is hidden in Windows Explorer.

RESOLUTION

To resolve this issue, use one of the following methods:

Method 1: Press the ALT key

To display the menu bar in Windows Explorer, press the ALT key. Pressing the ALT key again hides the menu bar.

Method 2: Set the menu bar to always appear
