SYMPTOMS

The following collection of command-line tools is missing from the Microsoft Windows Embedded for Point of Service (WEPOS) operating system:
  • Attrib.exe
  • Cacls.exe
  • Help.exe
  • More.com
  • Sort.exe

RESOLUTION

Hotfix information

A supported hotfix is available from Microsoft. However, this hotfix is intended to correct only the problem that is described in this article. Apply this hotfix only to systems that are experiencing this specific problem.

MORE INFORMATION

Standard command-line tools work whether the Local Management Tools Component is installed on a WEPOS installation. However, other generally used command-line tools are also installed together with the Local Management Tools Component.
