On This PageSYMPTOMSAfter you install Windows Vista, you cannot use all the features of an integrated audio device that is compliant with the Audio Codec '97 (AC '97) specification. CAUSEThis issue may occur if no driver is available for the audio device when you install Windows Vista. If no driver is available for the audio device, Windows Vista installs a generic audio driver so that you can hear audio after the installation is complete. The generic audio driver may not support all the features of the audio device. RESOLUTIONTo resolve this issue, follow the steps in the appropriate section.
